2013 Best Short Fiction Nominees

Best Short Fiction consideration is given to individual shorter-than-novel (novella and shorter) length works by a single author/authorial team. Works must have been originally published in North America during the previous calendar year to be eligible unless an exception is granted by the judging team.

Due to a lack of volunteer judges, the Short Fiction category is currently on hold. In May 2014 we were able to identify a new pool of judges for Short Fiction - works published from calendar year 2010 through 2013 will be combined into a single nominee group to bring our schedule up to date. Watch the 2014 Awards page during summer 2014 for a list of nominees.

2013 Best Other Work Nominees

Best Other Work consideration is given to any works that does not fit into the two other categories - this includes but is not limited to anthologies, graphic novels, games, and movies/television shows. Works must have been originally published/broadcast in North America during the previous calendar year to be eligible unless an exception is granted by the judging team. The Best Other Work only produces a Short List of Recommended works - no winner is named.
